Description
Amazonite is a quartzite with turquoise-green areas and pink and dark patches. Its unusual colour makes it a true statement stone.
Where to use Amazonite
- Kitchen countertops and islands
- Waterfall edges and breakfast bars
- Bathroom vanity tops
- Floors in villas and lobbies
- Outdoor kitchens and terrace counters
- Stair treads
Quartzite is hard and handles heat well. Seal it periodically, and ask for a scratch test on the actual slab, because hardness varies between quartzites.
