Persian Silk is a grey marble from Iran with fine white and cream stripes that look like threads of silk. The background is a soft, even grey, and the stripes can run in straight lines or gentle waves. The result is elegant and calm, lighter and softer than Pietra Grey.

A polished finish shows the silky stripes best. A honed finish gives a softer, matt look. Ask our sales team for the current slab sizes, thicknesses and finishes, and for cut-to-size pieces for your project.
Design tips
Persian Silk suits calm, modern interiors with warm white walls, light oak, champagne or brushed-nickel metal and soft lighting. Lay the slabs in sequence so the stripes flow from one slab to the next. Persian Silk is best used indoors; for facades and outdoor areas, silver travertine is a better choice.
Care and maintenance
Marble is a natural calcite stone. Acids such as lemon juice, vinegar and some cleaning products can dull a polished surface, so wipe spills quickly and clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Seal the stone after installation, especially on countertops, vanity tops and bathroom floors, and re-seal it from time to time.

Both are grey marbles from Iran. Pietra Grey is dark charcoal with thin white veins and strong contrast. Persian Silk is a lighter grey with soft white and cream stripes, so it feels calmer and brighter.
