Pietra Grey is a dark grey marble from Iran with thin white veins running across a deep charcoal background. It is one of the best-known dark grey marbles for modern interiors, and its strong contrast makes a bold statement on walls, floors and countertops.

Polished Pietra Grey shows the deepest colour and the strongest white veins. Honed or leathered finishes give a softer, matt look that shows fingerprints and small marks less. Ask our sales team for the current slab sizes, thicknesses and finishes, and for cut-to-size pieces for your project.
Design tips
Pietra Grey pairs well with white walls, walnut, brass and black steel. Book-matched slabs, where two neighbouring slabs mirror each other, make a striking feature wall. For contrast floors and borders, combine it with a light stone such as Crema Marfil.
Care and maintenance
Marble is a natural calcite stone. Acids such as lemon juice, vinegar and some cleaning products can dull a polished surface, so wipe spills quickly and clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Seal the stone after installation, especially on countertops, vanity tops and bathroom floors, and re-seal it from time to time.

Is Pietra Grey good for kitchen countertops?
Yes, with care. It is a dense marble and looks striking on kitchen islands, but like all marble it can etch if acids such as lemon or vinegar are left on it. Seal the surface, wipe spills quickly, and consider a honed or leathered finish, which shows marks less. For very busy kitchens, a natural quartzite may be easier to live with.
